BJD hand made eyes
Lead time: 2.5 Months
A note from the artist:
Please read carefully below:
These are not glass eyes, nor are they pressed eyes. There is no computer or 2D/3D printer involved; the only electric equipment I use is a light. The patterns, colors, and everything else are entirely crafted by hand. Each piece I create is unique. Version 1.0 is already different, and version 2.0 should not be compared to ordinary online production methods when defining my work. Thank you. I use various materials and tools, such as stickers, gems, paint, various fillers, and other molds for eye patterns and textures. This is all I can say about the process; the detailed techniques cannot be disclosed.
The front and side images are general-purpose photos I took earlier. The cropped images and the general-purpose images are not from the same pair; details in the patterns may be compressed as the size decreases!
The texture and patterns, especially vertical pupils and other unusual pupil shapes, make it difficult to achieve complete consistency between the two eyes. However, different process versions, like certain new (2.0) techniques, can greatly improve this issue.
Please note that the differences in curvature between the two eyes, variations in size and shape, or slight curvature misalignments are all intentional parts of the craftsmanship! They are not defects, quality issues, or skill problems!
The external color ring is an additional ring outside the iris, which may visually enlarge the iris. Different batches of external color rings may display colors differently and may also change in size with the eye size, thus affecting the intensity of the color, making it appear lighter or darker. It is normal for a pair to have slight variations in depth, brightness, or darkness.
Please note that Deepeyes styles are diverse. Making the eyes bright is not difficult, but everyone has different brightness preferences, so both bright and darker versions are made. Some designs also soften colors and details; these are all part of the original design and not a matter of craftsmanship.
Regarding storage methods: a non-contact storage method is strongly recommended! When the eyes are not in use, attach blu tack to the back and fix them in a storage case, avoiding any contact with the front. Do not let them touch sponges, films, or other materials; “luxury” packaging may not be suitable. Keep them away from substances unfriendly to resin, such as alcohol. Since environmental testing has not been conducted, potential changes under high, low, or other extreme conditions are unknown, so please assume responsibility if you choose to use them in such conditions.
